FIRST AID:

EYE  FLUSH IMMEDIATELY WITH WATER FOR 15 MINUTES. CONSULT A PHYSICIAN IF IRRITATION PERSISTS.
SKIN  WASH AFFECTED AREA WITH SOAP AND WATER. WASH CONTAMINATED CLOTHING BEFORE REUSE.
INHALED  RESPIRATORY PROTECTION IS NOT NORMALLY REQUIRED.
FIRE  PRODUCT IS NON-FLAMMABLE IN THE LIQUID STATE. USE WATER, SPRAY, FOAM, DRY CHEMICAL OR CARBON DIOXIDE IF DRY.
SPILL  COLLECT AND REMOVE USING INERT ABSORBENT.

SECTION 5: PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT

EYE  WEAR CHEMICAL SAFETY GOGGLES TO REDUCE THE POTENTIAL FOR EYE CONTACT. EYEWASH (CUP TYPE) SHOULD BE AVAILABLE.

NTP STUDY ON DIETHANOLAMINE: FINDINGS FROM THE NATIONAL TOXICOLOGY PROGRAM SUGGEST AN INCREASE INCIDENCE OF LIVER TUMORS IN BOTH SEXES OF MICE AND AN INCREASED INCIDENCE OF KIDNEY TUMORS IN MALE MICE DERMALLY EXPOSED FOR THEIR LIFETIME TO DIETHANOLAMINE. THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THESE FINDINGS AND THEIR RELEVANCE TO HUMANS ARE NOT CLEAR AS DIETHANOLAMINE WAS NOT GENOTOXIC AND DID NOT INDUCE TUMORS IN RATS OR TRANSGENIC MICE SIMILARLY TESTED.
